About BOSSE

The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE) is an open schooling board set up by the Government of Sikkim. It was established under the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Act No. 14 of 2020 with a clear mission — to make education more flexible, accessible, and affordable for learners across India.

BOSSE is especially helpful for school dropouts, working professionals, and anyone who couldn’t complete their studies through the regular school system. It offers opportunities to complete Secondary (10th), Senior Secondary (12th), and various vocational programs through open and distance learning, allowing students to study at their own pace.

The board is recognized by relevant educational authorities and is a member of the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE). This ensures that BOSSE certificates are valid for higher education, competitive examinations, and government job applications, giving students confidence in the value of their qualification.

Why Choose BOSSE?

If you’re still unsure whether BOSSE is the right choice for you, here are some strong reasons why many students are choosing it:

  • Flexible learning system: You can study at your own pace with the option of on-demand exams as well as bi-annual public examinations.

  • Recognized certification: BOSSE certificates are valid for higher education, competitive exams, and employment opportunities.

  • Affordable fees: The fee structure is budget-friendly compared to many traditional schools.

  • Variety of courses: You can choose from a wide range of academic programs and skill-based vocational courses.

  • Government recognition: BOSSE is government-established and a member of COBSE, adding credibility to your qualification.

  • Open to all age groups: Whether you’re a teenager, a working professional, or someone returning to studies after a gap, BOSSE is designed for everyone.

  • Easy admission process: With convenient online admission and access to digital study materials, getting started is simple and hassle-free.

BOSSE makes education more accessible, flexible, and practical for today’s learners.
